a lunch fit for a geek

Working in media means I get taken to lunch a lot. Couple this with samey / forgettable décor and after a while everything blurs into one. But Inamo's is something truly special

Voted Time Out's best restaurant in 2010 ignore it at your peril.

What's so special? Well check this out:

My eyes popped out of my head (not literally) when I saw this. Images are projected on the table from above which is in it self a great feature but using a touchpad interface you can interact with your table as if it were a PC. From here you can order your food / drinks, play games and change the virtual tablecloth theme.

The food was amazing; Pan-Asian cuisine is a favourite of mine but Inamo's doesn't skimp on portion sizes or quality (which could easily have happened). Many concept restaurants like this will often serve average quality food knowing the gimmick factor will still bring in customers. Care and attention has been put into every dish so they are both pleasing to the eye and the palette. The Sea bass was probably one of the nicest things I've ever eaten but (as we ordered nearly everything on the menu) I had a chance to try a bit of everything. I can safely say that quality was high across the board but having the opportunity to see what a dish will look like really helps for fussy eaters like me. I also ate half my weight in edamame; we made the mistake of ordering 4, thinking they were small pots like other restaurants. Oh no, each pot was about 25cm across and completely stuffed. When you leave that place, you know you've had a good meal.

Prices are reasonable for Soho, I'd estimate that on average you'd spend around £40 per person for a single course, sides and half bottle of wine.

I could go on forever but let's put it this way I highly recommend it. Check it out @ http://www.inamo-restaurant.com
